New paintings for Gallery 1988 shows

Always happy to continue working with Gallery 1988.

I was alble ot take part in the 9th annual Crazy 4 Cult show in Los Angeles this past December.

For the show I did a 16x20 acrylic painting entitled "Netherworld Gothic" as my personal take On Beetlejuice mixed with a dash of the classic overtones of the Grant Wood American classic.

I also did a painting "He's so hot right now" for the Gallery 1988 Zoolander show done in association

 with Red Hour Films

Graveyard poster

This is my recent gigposter for Graveyard 's Cinco De Mayo show in Memphis, Tn at the Hi-Tone Cafe.

Melvins poster

This is my latest gigposter for the Melvins. Its a 4-color, 18x24" silk screen, with an edition of 100. These will first be available at the show and the later in the week in my webstore. 

There is a layer of gold ink throughout the piece that really helps it pop. Thanks Half and Half. 

I can remember the first time I heard Houndini. Truly an honor to be a part of the Melvins 30th anniversary tour series.

 

JUST BEFORE DAWN poster for Crystal Plumage Films 35mm screening

I was honored to again work with Evan&Ray from Crystal Plumage Films on a poster for their screening of JUST BEFORE DAWN(1980).

Widely revered as an under-rated, cult/slasher gem, JUST BEFORE DAWN smacks of a film ahead of its time....Beautiful cinematography, immersible sound design and.....a young Susie Essman in the final  kill scene.

My contribution to "The Bad Robot Experience"

I was very honored last summer when Gallery 1988 asked me to be a part of "The Bad Robot Experience".

Everyone knows how freaking talented JJ Abrams is and I was elated to do a piece for "Super 8"

Patton Oswalt gigposter

This is my newest gigposter for comedian, Patton Oswalt.

Its 17x24", 4-color, edition of 50.

Initially, I wanted to place a hook handed Patton in a distant future, fighting space lizards at the mercy of the Ham overlords......great concept but..

As Patton said best "..new images, new directions, not a self-referential worm hole."

The concept decided upon was in the vein of 70's subversive comix.

The savy, comix-reader will see a few familiar faces in there.

These will be available at both shows on 9/28/12.

If any are left they will be put online at 4:15pm on 10/1/2012.
